Non-athlete Julie Morris-Smith has achieved not just one but TWO remarkable feats of fitness! Last year in September Julie slogged it out in training and completed a 54 mile cycle from London to Brighton! Amazing! Julie absolutely smashed her fundraising target several times over for her cycle and then continued on to smash her second target this year when she successfully finished the Brighton Marathon and raised a sum total of £2360.55 (and counting!)
Why did Julie do this? This is what she said:
Animals are my life. Animal welfare is what I am passionate about. I would do anything to create awareness of the benefits of living a plant-based, cruelty free lifestyle. And if I have to do this crazy madness to show everyone how being vegan has changed my life then here we go!
I am no athlete, just a regular 43 year old housewife. I have five chickens, an English Bull Terrier, an amazing husband and very arthritic knees and feet. I love living a cruelty free lifestyle, I love my food, I love eating naturally and I love promoting the fact that animals never need to suffer for our survival.
