World Vegan Day Roundup | Viva! - The Vegan Charity

On 1 November, World Vegan Day, we called on the British public to go vegan for 24 hours to help save the planet. And we are absolutely thrilled with the positive response we got! The campaign was covered nationwide and some celebs even got involved with the day too.

Here are some of the highlights:

  • More than 90 pieces of coverage
  • GoVegan24 had an estimated 423k coverage views, with a further 6.53m combined celebrity following
  • Juliet did back-to-back radio interviews on 19 stations leading up to World Vegan Day, reaching millions of listeners across the UK!
  • With the help of our wonderful supporters we organised more than 35 info stalls nationwide, reaching thousands of people on Britain’s high streets

James May

Best known for his antics on Top Gear and The Grand Tour, James May got involved by creating a YouTube video, and posting on Instagram and Twitter.

The video in which he cooks vegan hotdogs has since been viewed more than 200K times.

Fearne Cotton

Vegan now for about two months, Fearne Cotton advocated our #GoVegan24 campaign which gained coverage in regional papers all across the country.

On World Vegan Day, she posted a video to her 2.9m followers on Instagram encouraging people to get involved. The video has been viewed more than 112k times.
